Now that we have heard from you in writing through the Congregational Survey, we are also desiring to spend some time talking with you! To accomplish this, we will be hosting two scheduled Listening Sessions in early April:
Sunday, April 2nd (following the service, 10:30am – 12:00pm)
Thursday, April 6th (during the evening, 7:00pm – 8:30pm)
During these sessions, we will be breaking into small groups so that everyone has a chance to be heard. In order to plan for appropriate group sizes, we request that you sign-up for the Listening Session you will attend – sign-up sheets are located on a table in the back of the Worship Center.
Here is the agenda:
- Large Group Presentation – We will share the results of our Pastoral Survey, to prime our discussion time.
- Small Group Discussions – We will break into smaller groups for facilitated discussion. During this time, we will discuss your responses to each of these 4 pre-planned questions:
Q1: What are some things you think we could do to make the Sunday morning worship experience more inspiring and engaging?
Q2: The survey asked specifically what type of pastor you would like to have. The majority answer was “a great preacher/teacher”. What does that mean or look like to you?
Q3: What qualities do we need in our next Pastor to successfully reach our community?
Q4: Through the survey, our church family said we desire to be discipled through our Sunday morning messages. What does that mean to you? How should our next Pastor lead us in this?
Thanks in advance for your prayerful preparation and participation in this next important step of our search process!
